Ulaanbaatar-Lucerne by bicycle: A fundraising project

From Siberia to Mongolia by bike, this was the original plan. Back in Switzerland his bicycle, which is sponsored by BIKELOCAL in Lucerne, will be auctioned in favor of the Bayasgalant children day care center in Ulaanbaatar. But once he arrived in Ulaanbaatar, Jurg Burger, whose sister Yvonne volunteered for Bayasgalant before, decided to keep riding his bicycle a bit further with the following purpose: On the 10’000 km between Ulaanbaatar and his hometown Lucerne he wants to collect 20’000 Swiss Francs for the Bayasgalat projects. The first day he came to our day care center in Ulaanbaatar he was so touched by the happiness and gratefulness of the children that he decided to do more.

The goal: One Kilometer one Franc

Jurg started on Tuesday 6.October 2015 from the daycare center in Ulaanbaatar. His journey will take about 6 months and will bring him through China, the Stan countries, Iran, Turkey and finally to the EU. His plans can be supported the following way:

Juergs aim to sell each one of the 10’000km in favor of the Bayasgalant project is fulfield. But why not sell every kilometer twice? Donators give 1 Swiss Franc for each kilometer. Help us and motivate Jurg to keep riding even when legs get crampy and tires flat! Your donation entirely goes to the Bayasgalant project.
