Sailing for Bayasgalant

It wasn't long ago that Jürg Burger, now a board member of Bayasgalant, cycled from Mongolia to Switzerland in order to raise money for our organisation. Now he, Dylan Wickrama (the ambassador of Bayasgalant) and Juliane Huber are about to begin another adventure. This time they are taking part in a sailing race in Tanzania. The goal is as before, to promote Bayasgalant children's project.

The race they are taking part in is, according to the organisers, the most challanging sailing race of the world. The contestants, fifteen teams, each team comprising with three team mates, are using old traditional sailing boats which are also known as Ngalawa in east Africa. Without modifications they will be sailing from northern tip of Zanzibar to south of Tanzanian mainland, some 555km in distance.

Juliane, Jürg and Dylan have set a goal. They multiply those 555km by ten and want to raise at least 5555 Swiss Francs for the charity. Please be a part of it. We will be updating exciting news about the race regularly as it happens. We would share videos and photos of the race with you.

Help a good cause and buy Kilometers for 10 Swiss Francs each.

Thanks!
